i think any sunday in february would be good. im itching to ride soon but for the sake of planning i can wait. sundays in february are the 3rd, 10th, 17th, and the 24th. state any objections so we can accomodate your schedules. i like the number 10 and aetna.

That weekend should be good for me. A guy that I work with was telling me about a place he went with his son this past weekend. It's on the backside of Prentice Cooper close to Powell's Crossroads. I can't remember what it is called but it was a pretty goofy name.

Was that Coppengers Cove? It looks very similar. I'm in wherever. Just can't do it the first weekend in Feb. We have a Club Ride that whole weekend at the Cove.

alright so we decided on the 10th and after some consideration, i dont think that grundy would be a good idea.
to get to the trail head would take at least an hour to get to from chattanooga.
i know not everyone is from chattanoog including myself. we'll save a grundy ride for early spring, maybe make it an overnight trip.
so were are back to aetna.
i've never been up there, so we are going to need at least 1 trail guide. anyone wanna volunteer?
anybody know where the closest waffle house is to aetna?

was on aetna today .....the whole mtn was NASTY SLICK ! but it was a blast .

btw theres a waffle house right beside the crackerbarrel ...just off the exit .

but as far as i know, aetna is a faily large "local spot" sorta place, it's not organized like Tellico or Windrock... i could be wrong though.

...so there's probably no website for it...

directions to AETNA mtn .

from .....south of chatt...

i-75 north to the i75/24w split

take 24w split (toward nasville) ..you be heading to downtown chatt...

take the 24w split at the 24w/27n split (toward nasville)

after the split take the 2nd exit (174)

after exit .....

turn left at stop sign , go under freeway

take 1st right (redlight/yield)

you'll be going past a waffle house , crackerbarrel , motels ...

after you pass these places take the 1st right (cummings rd. ) you'll go back under the freeway .

take the 1st left you come to . rock walls into a subdivtion thats not built yet . folow paved road till you hit gravel . then dirt ...you'll see where people park . 2 parking lots and on the road .

anybody else need direction just let me know ....

I'm going to try to make this and 9:30 at the waffle house to fuel up sounds good! I just did a full tune up today since it was running rough and will put the warn tcase skid on this weekend. Bare I have no mechanical issues crop up I should be good 2 go! I'll be coming with my 12 year old son who drives too. Still learning so I'll keep it in open areas and to a minimum......

i got no problem with other jeeps coming out. i dont know what to say about when folks will actually hit the trails. its been set up as a meet and eat and ride, so my schedule is always loose.

Busy day yesterday working on the XJ and selling the Zuk. I've been dealing with some hesitation and stubling BS. Yup read all the articles I could find on here............I put on a new coil, cleaned all the connectors and grounds and bought a CPS to carry just in case. Got the Tcase skid on too.

Since I sold the Zuk I'm going to try to get 33 BFG MTs put on before Sunday. Won't have time to get the bumper and engine/tranny slider bought and put on though so the winch will have to sit in the garage till then. :(

O well hopefully it will behave this week! I'm looking forward to some wheelin and meeting ya'll. Oh yeah and this is my DD to so I'll be focused and well "not stupid" with it, yeah right. LOL!
