I have read every post that I can find through searches and recommended links on this page, as well as elsewhere. There is one answer I can not get assuredly and I hope someone here can provide me insight:
The question is: If I replace my trouble-prone 0331 head with a 0630 head on my 2000.5 XJ, before I start driving it will I be required to either get somebody to make me an exhaust header adapter plate (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=919384) or get a '98 exhaust header and down-tube it to my existing exhaust (http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=919384)? The question being, is it required on a non-CA model Jeep? Can I get away with a 0630 head on newer exhaust header for at least a nominal amoung of time so that I can at least start getting down the road?
I've finally nearly got funds for the header, I have all of the gaskets/headbolts - I just need to know if I can just stick the header on and go.
Much appreciation to whomever can advise me here.
