Would anyone know where to track down a 2.5 that ran for close to nothing??

i had a 2.5 xj once... and it DID run for close to nothing. i got about 3k out of it before it char-broiled along I-81.

i live in missouri, is it a jeep 2.5??? Looking to pick up an mj and it needs a new motor, dont want to do the 4.0 swap as i have a trail capable jeep, just need something to take hunting that i can throw a deer in the back.....so 2.5 will work

The Chev 2.5 is quite different from the Jeep 2.5L. (Jeep did use the Chev 2.5L in pre '84 rigs) However, the Dodge Dakota 2.5L is the same engine (and can be had with AX-15 trans! Nice for a XJ or TJ upgrade conversion) and Jeep used them in TJs till recently.
