Any of you peoples know Sammys?

Soooo my dad and I just bought a Samurai. He knows zippo about wheelin and not much about 4wds but wants to get into it. So basically that means I'm gunna have to do all the work on the rig. Right now as it sits its got:


SOA lift
36-12.50-15 TSLs
5.13s, Locrite front and lincoln locked rear in stock axles
Sawzalled to fit those big ass tires
Some more crap

ANyways! I'm thinking theres no way in hell those stock axles will hold up against those gears and big ass tires! Are they much tougher than I think they are?

I bet the axles hold up better then you think. Samis have pretty strong drivetrain components.

They are pretty damn tough for sure, plus they only have like 11HP.

If you can, look around for wrecked land rovers... they, like sammy's have passenger side diff's and can be built up quite a bit plus they are mucho wider.
