Exhaust Interchangeability

I know someone that is selling a Borla exhaust that was on an 89 Cherokee. I was wondering if this would fit on my 98 Cherokee. Both are 4dr and 6cyl.
Any help would be a huge help!

I don't believe they're Interchangeabe. I think the the intake/exhaust ports were redesigned in roughly 97.

Perhaps someone else can confirm or dispell my beliefs.

Thanks for the reply, I believe you are correct in your mention of exhaust ports. Perhaps I was not clear, I am talking about a catback exhaust so I don't think the fitment for the headers will be affected.

I know "Walker" part nos. are diff. I'm not sure if Borla makes a cat back for the 98'

I wonder what the differences would be...do you think pipe diameters? I can't imagine much else would've changed. The engine/trans combinations haven't changed, and the suspension/driveline setups haven't changed AFAIK... still curious
