1990 XJ??

Hey ya all - Need some input from my fellow Sierra Chapterins...... I have heard mixed things Post 90 XJ's.

A friend here at work (her husband's) is selling a 1990 XJ. They are asking $1,300. It's a 6 cyl with 120k and it's a manual. They are the original owners as well. He says the AC needs to be charged and the window motors are getting tired. Did I mention they are the original owners????

It would be great to have a DD other than my rig.

What do you think? Is this a rig I could build up later on or would it be too much of a headache? As yaall know I only have experience with the later year XJ's.

Sounds great. Look underneath to see if it has the BA-10, or the AX-15. Either way, it is a good deal. Let them smog it.
Bought my '88 twelve years ago with 133K. Swapped out the BA-10 at 210K.
Rig now has 286K. Had 2 CPS in that time,the only trouble i had with it.
Go for it.

Good price and low miles. If its been well maintained, well worth it. If not, maybe $600. I spent way too much for my 89.
