oil spill

well I seem to have a new problem that is when I woke up this morning i found that my 93 xj was sitting in a pool of oil. I checked every thing on the top end of the motor and there is no prob. but there is oil every were on the under side. I think its the oil pan gasket but before i get to work i just thought that id see if it could be anything else. suggestions ??

clean up as much as the oil as you can on the engine, fill with oil, start it up and look for oil leaks. just make sure you dont run it dry when looking for leaks.

have you dont any recent work like putting on a new filter? sometimes the old gasket from the old filter will stay on the adapter and you will have 2 gaskets on the new filter.

hmmm.... this calls for some lucas or other thick honey snake oil :looney::looney:

Check around your Oil sender and filter...

The o-ring on the oil filter housing let go.
