98 heater fan comes & goes

my fan has a short some where , fan will shut off & then start back up , sometimes it is with a bump in the road so i think it is loose wire but i have shook every wire i can find & can not make it do it. anyone ever had this ? where was your problem? tony

Are you talking about your cooling fan or blower motor? If you are talking about your cooling fan it will cycle on and off with your AC compressor. Your AC compressor is also on if you have it on defrost not just on AC.
