95 trans in 88 swap?

Is the swap possible to put the trans from a 95 into an 88 cherokee both with the 4.0? If possible will the 88 TCM run the newer 95 trans or not?

uhm, are you asking if the 88 transfer case will work with the 95 trans? if so, no it won't. the 88 trans/transfercase is a 21 spline while the 95 trans/transfer case is a 23 spline. you could always put the 95 trans and transfer case in it.
 
I know the 88 transfer case won't work but will the TCM in the 88 controll the newer 95 transmission? If it will what would have to be done to the wiring of the transmission?:wierd:
