Waggy D44 Years

im lookin for an old waggy so i can snatch the d44's of it and put them on my cherokee, my question is which year wagoneer should i be looking for? any in particular or did all wagoneers come with d44's front and rear?

Everyone I've seeen had 44's front & rear, But they are wider and spring perches for the rear are different. Depending on year some may have drum brakes on front(not what you want}. Hope this helps a bit.

Late 80's are good years to look for. They're more likely to have the D44 in the rear rather than the AMC 20, and they have a centered rear diff. A lot of the Wagoneers had Quadratrac and that used an offset rear diff that wouldn't work in your XJ
