If I were to completely remove my flares on a non-lifted 99, would it clear 31s without trouble, or is the trouble on the LCAs and that wouldn't be solved by this operation?
Would it look stupid? Looks like there would be a bump in the back, not a smooth arc, maybe cut that off and add some black strip over the holes?
Next, I could trade my old 33" Swampers for a set of 32" BFG ATs (1/2 worn down) on stock 87 XJ rims... same questions.
Plan would be to armor it and drag/slide until a lift (when I have the money for SYE/proper track bar etc.), then put the flares back on.
Or get some 30s and armor/drag/slide, damn inchitis kicking in.
