I have the 6 cylinder (not the HO) and it has a whistling noise coming form the front. I open the hood and noticed the vibration damper was wobbling and the noise seems to come form that area. Is there a bearing in behind the damper? Im not sure if it is loose I will check that in the AM. Is a wobbling damper common on the 6 cylinder?

A junk yard part will likley be in the same condition as what you have.By new,NAPA or the dealer have them for $60-80,get a new timing cover seal also.
There is no bearing behind the dampner except the front main bearing on the crank and you won,t be going in that far.
