Just picked up an 01 MXZ 800 with about 3000 miles for $2700. Picked, clutched, new track, motor rebuilt because of a recall. The night I brought it home and parked it I found an 03 MXZ 600 HO with 1500 miles, x-package, and reverse for $3000 at an artic cat dealer. The 03 has the newer REV chassis which I originally wanted but couldnt find for a reasonable price. I also might have a buyer for the 800 but its still on the fence. What are your opinions? Keep the 800 or go for the REV?

Go REV. That chassis is a major stepup from the older chassis.

REV, we had one in Alaska that kicked ass, I love artic cat snowmachines but thier four wheelers blow.

Polaris makes some good haulers, which is a plus for moose hunting.

I'll look but I think I have pics of me going across a lake on our 04 on open water.

If you rode out here you would know that even the Ski-do and polaris guys have to admit that the M-series cats are cleaning house...well they were till Polaris came out with the Dragon. But the dragons are going through 150 dollar belts at a rate of one per 50 miles. No thanks.

That being said, saying a Cat is a POS is kind of silly. If they were, they wouldn't be selling them as fast as they can get them in the dealers.

In all honesty, they all are making great sleds right now...with maybe the exception of Yamaha.
