well here are my plans and i am gonna order gears but i wanted to ask this first , i have a ford 9 inch and i am putting in a detroit locker in it can i use run of the mill 513s or do i need some sort of thick set ,and in the 44 i am using the stock carrier and a lock right lunch box locker in the front , the stock gears were 373s i think also with that do i need thick or thin gears ??

verry kool guys thank u for your help hopefully i bought the right d 44 gears , the 5 13 ring gear is thicker than the stock gears so i really hope they are the right ones

There are also the new 'Thick Cut" gears that are becoming available for many axles. They have "Deeper" teeth on both the ring & pinion for more surface area which equals more strength. Not a bad idea at all.
