Ok the bad news first.....

I was working on the jeep and cut my left thumb halfway off.... It was dumb luck, and I probably should have been wearing gloves. Let's skip that lecture, I'm experienced and know better.

The drivers side rear leaf spring is halfway cut off. The bushings are stuck to the leaf bolts. Another member was kind enough to donate a pair of rear leafs and that was what I was trying to swap on because one of mine is fubarred.

I have enother vehicle to drive, but I am unable to finish fixing my jeep.

It is in my garage. But is not heated. I have tools, but not air tools. I have a grinder and electricity in the garage.

If there is anyone, or any people who wouldn't mind giving me a hand finishing swapping the leaf spring out, I would be very greatful, and would gladly provide pizza and beverage of choice.

Jeep is located in Northern Manchester NH.

Thanks,

Matt

It's gotta be something about XJs... A while back I had an accident working on my rig and split my thumb open pretty good, from the tip to the first knuckle, to the bone, on the finger nail side. Split the fingernail completely into two separate pieces. Amazed the docs when the nail never died.

with a grinder with a cut-off wheel... It goes through skin and tendons like a hot knife through butter.
