does any one know the what the length of the upper control arms should be for a 5" lift?I'm trying to build my own.

I used my stock ones for 4.5". Worst case scenario make it only a bit longer. If you're going through the hassle of making uppers, you might as well buy a crossmember and make your own longarms. Just my humble opinion. Grand total you should spend less than ~$5-600

Why not just make them adjustable, its only a few more $$ for threaded rod and tubing inserts. My .02.
