Does anyone know where a good reasonably priced winch mount / bumper can be gotten from?. I was going to go with the detuors usa mount but I havent been able to get thru to them by phone or email.

I realy need to find something soon for the daughter christmas gift.

( P.S its for her 90 XJ )

Keep trying detours.. Its an awesome product...

You must have an awsome daughter... I wish I could meet a girl that would like a winch bumper for Christmas!

I'm pretty sure Mark has been moving into his new home.

I will see if I can point him in your direction.....no promises though.

how old is your daughter? ive been looking for a girl with a nice jeep. does it help that my xj is a 90 as well??? LOL

Congrats on the Grand-daughter.

And I thought I had a lot of vehicles... lol

Let me know how you like the detours when you get it. I've seen it on a few friends vehicles and I've been considering it. I've been considering the detours and one winch bumper on ebay. I just don't see any reviews on the ebay one. The only thing holding me back from detours is that I want a complete bumper all the way across.

This is the ebay one...

Mark is moving right now, hard to get in touch with.

Are you looking for a new bumper or the backbone set-up from Detours?

There are several options, but it may be hard to get one in short notice.

Here are a few:

http://www.ajsoffroadarmor.com/products-frontbumpers.php

http://www.rigidco.com/products.htm

http://www.custom4x4fabrication.com/front_xj.html

http://www.jcroffroad.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=XJB

http://www.loose-nuts-enterprises.com/newprod.htm

http://www.protofab4x4.com/products.php?ID=05

http://www.nates4x4.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25&products_id=68

There are tons out there.

I personally have the Rigidco non-winch.

I have seen several of the Loose nuts bumpers, AJ's, Warn, and ARB. Olympic4x4 also has a winch bumper for the XJ.

Timming may be against you with the choices. There are some companies that have several built or available through a distributor.

Best of luck!

I would prefer the backbone setup from detours , thats what she said she wanted for the ole XJ. I will keep trying him and see if I get lucky and can get one by christmas. sa far as the complete bumpers go there are some niceones in those links you posted But I am trying to stay out of the $400.00 + range
many more to buy stuff for round these parts .
I have two new grand kids this year , one more on the way ( and they all need Jeeps:laugh3:

Did you check that link on ebay? It's only 279 + 75 shipping.

Yup I did see that link , But I havent found anyone who has one to get any feed back on quality . Also we plan on exoing the XJ at some point and the back bone system would work out better for that , I figure it will give more room to work around and tie into then we can complete a bumper around it .

Sounds like a good plan to me. I guess I'm gunna buy that ebay bumper. I talked to the guy and he said that if I wasn't satisfied with the quality then he'd pay the shipping to return it with a full refund - Shipping and all... So I figure if he's willing to take a $150 hit on his $300 bumper then he's fairly confident that I'll be happy.

I did get in contact with Mark, he asked me to post up with the following:

He is overwhelmingly busy right now. Like I said before, he is moving. Not only his home but the shop too. This is a major relocation for him. He did say that the website( http://www.detoursusa.com/ ) has an announcement posted. He will not start production until after the first of the year but hope to be up and running by Jan. 1. He apologizes and will reply to emails and the like as soon as he get time.

Haleyes, Is there any way you can check back with mark and see when he's gonna be building again? I have sent several emails and gotten no replies.

Thanks:D
