Hi Guys - Just wondering if anyone has experience working with auto body solder to repair metal panels?
Here's an example of what I'm talking about

My question relates to 'Tinning Butter'. Is there difference between lead based and non-lead based Tinning Butter?

Eastwoods is kind of pricey. I've tried leading with mixed results. Of course I was using old wheel weights and Boric acid as a flux (you really don't want to breath that stuff it will burn the hair out of your nose).
I've found some stuff at a Truck parts place that has the flux inside a continuous roll, kind of a tube (maybe 3/8" diameter). They take it off of the roll cut it with side cutters and sell it by the foot.
Heat control is the trick behind the whole process and likely takes some practice.

Yeah I figured the prices were a bit excessing. However, I couldn't find anybody that offered a complete kit other then Eastwoods.
After a few screw ups, I got my first few fills completed :). I guess time will on whether they hold.
