Not sure if this was the right place for this question but I searched around and didn't see anything on this.

My issue.

I've got a 93 w/ auto tranny I'm getting some "binding" feeling not sure if its driveline, but a 01 tranny just happen to fall into my lap, I'm curious how compatible that tranny would be in my 93. I've heard it'll bolt right up but I have to worry about electrical plugs and what not... what exactly would that be fully?

Thanks
Chris

Like you said. It should/will bolt right up.

As far as I know, all connectors are the same for 91 and up.

Up until recently when a guy on here did it I thought the AW4s between 87-96 and 97-01 were not compatible. Everything I had read about speed sensors and such pointed me in the direction that they were not compatible. I was part of the most recent thread; the guy was putting a 97's AW4 into an 87 IIRC. He said as long as he used the newer ECU it was no problem but he did have to swap some connnectors I believe. Search for that thread though, I wouldn't be surprised that it would actually work.
