Just got done installing a lock right in my front D30 this weekend. Used a link offered up here on NAXJA to DPGoffroad which had unbelievably perfect instructions, photos, torque specs. Install went unexpectedly well. Locker works great. Got me thinking about the thousands of dollars I've saved by doing repairs/mods myself, all of which I never do without searching here for tips and instructions first. Just wanted to give a big thank you to anyone who's ever posted up tips and photos so we can all get our cherokees built on our own. And if under your user name it says "NAXJA forum user" I suggest you get it changed to "member # ..." as soon as possible. It's the least we can do to pay back some of the money we've saved through this site.

I do not understand the age thing? i know there are at least 2 guys that are going to miss NWfest due to this.

i have to say i agree 110% with you steelebluesteve. in the past i have had alot of rigs that have been nightmares to build and troubleshoot etc...i have spent alot of time and money building up my XJ in the last 5 months. so far, after reading up before i have done things i have saved a ton of time, money and have known ahead of time what issues to expect etc...thus so far there is nothing i have done that i regret or wish i had done different. A HUGE thank you to NAXJA and all who contribute.

I do not understand the age thing?.
I believe it has something to do with liability insurance, but not 100% sure on that. JIM.

Yes, a member must be 18, for insurance purposes.
Also, Woody worked long and hard on the signup program and it's really paid off.
There are so many options to choose from, that now you don't even need to remember to reup when your membership expires.
Thanks, Woody, and great job!

Gnat and Commando and Egghead (see the link the member formally known as Okie Terry pointed us to) have the right attitude. It is a pain that for legal reasons membership is restricted to 18 and older but your attitudes towards wanting to be members and Eggheads signing up on his birthday set the example for other 'underage' users!
