it looks like my rocker arms ar hitting my cover, why would they do this? it knocks a little on start up then stops after a min or so. just changed all rockers and bridges and fulcrums. it is on a 4.0 with 111,000 miles.

were they hitting before you installed new ones?
where are they hitting the cover? top - side l ?
is it making a noise or have you removed the cover and seen evidence of the hitting?

Are you sure they are actually hitting the valve cover?
sure its just not the lifters making noise?

they were hitting befor i changed them, we took the cover off and you can see makes down to the metal on the top left edge looking toward the vehicle. they are also noisy on start up and for a min after then it is good to go. could my cover be warped or maby the wrong one? i dont know if the 4.0 covers changed at all between 88-94?

88 Renix covers are different than 94 HO covers.
