My drivers window makes a ratcheting noise when it gets to the top. the motor doesn't shut off. is there a switch for this or do I need a new motor?

there is a cable that moves inside your door when it goes up and down ,normally there is a plastic tube it moves in, must have fallen off, pull the inner panel and it'll be laying in the bottom of the door
