Dana 300 Tcase

I need a measurement. i know they are shorter than the 231, but i am wondering are they narrower? thrying to find placement for my upper 3rd link. just trying to figure how much room i could gain if i went with the 300. I could also go pass drop, upper on driver side, then my start is in the way of the driveshaft.
