Would like to stiffen the tie rod seems least little thing makes it a noodle....whats best way to do this........or is a high steer set up only way? this is on a 89 Laredo 4.0
I have seen some use angle iron. Just take a piece the length of the tie rod and weld it on. Put the tie rod in the "V" of the angle iron.
Of course there are other options too. You can purchase just the tie rod without having to go hi-steer. I have a tie rod from WNC Customs and it is hella beefy. It is used in combination with the stock drag-link. JCR Offroad also sells just the tie rod. Alumiflex is another one off the top of my head.
