Steering help quick plz...

Went wheeling last night with the club, and didnt do anything TOO hardcore on the stocker (wont be on wed, btw) but yeah.. just up and down some man-made hills and thru some mud.....

Got on the road and I was in 2wd (very certain) and the steering, when turned past 90* kindve stuttered as if it was in 4wd, but LESS severe....

Got out... tightened all the lugs just to be sure, but the problem is still there, less severe now that i tightened the lugs, but still there...

What do i check? what could it be?

Well if you're absolutely sure that you have it back in 2wd then it sounds like one of your front axle u-joints is dry and seizing up. This happened to me and the feeling was like every quarter rotation of the tire it seemed to want to straighten out.
