thursday night, i need to find a flag today so i can figure out a mount. today is the only day from now till then that i will have free time. i work every day this week and have family stuff every night, and all day thursday.

did you see my mount when we were at Gorman? I've got an L bracket that I picked up at Do-It-Center that has a hole on each side. Drilled a hole through my rear bumper (stock) and bolted it in there. The hole is about perfect size for the whip, and it doubles as a beer opener which is nice for Glamis.

Gimme a min, I'll take a pic.

got it figured out, went over to the dirtbike shop and got a 8ft whip with an LED on the end. drilled a hole in the top of my detours usa bumper just behind the tail light and now im good to go! thanks for the help guys


oh and islander, if you need an opener for your beer you shouldnt have it in the dunes! glass is a major no-no ;)

I had no idea. I only drink out of glass botles because good beer doesn't come in cans (guiness and boddingtons are the exceptions)

enforcing it more or not, its a big problem. dont get me wrong, i throw the occasional sobe bomb in the fire, but the BLM will race up and rail your ass if they see you with any glass anywhere out there.

i dunno how it is other places, but glass bottles were a big problem in glamis for a few years. not so much anymore, but all it takes is 20 or 30 ashholes who dont give a sheet tossing bottles in the sand to really cause a big problem. last thanksgiving when i was out there we got rolled on for starting a fire with gas at the base of oldsmobile hill, first thing the officer said was "hey you cant start a fire with gas!" "ok sir sorry" "you dont have any glass bottles do you? mind if i check?" they are bottle nazis now.
