always request to have your lugs hand tightened, not impact tightened.

I was just rotating my tires, last time my rears were removed was when a tire shop was bleeding my brakes for me (just did an 8.8 swap and it wasn't perfect). Anyways, I snapped a lug stud trying to loosen it, had another one that was about to and so I stopped, and had multiple stripped lugs.

Request hand tightening and you have less of a chance to have this happen!

or take it to a place that actually cares about their customers. everyone at our shop is required to have torque sticks for their impacts. then after that we are also required to do a final torque with a torque wrench.

that does suck though.

the good news is its a shop i've used for years, so i took it back over there, they're gonna cover the busted one and the one that would have busted had I tried any harder.
