Detroit... Again!

Ok so I got the clutch in the Detroit replaced. Printed a diagram off the internet to ensure I got it put back together correctly, then had a buddy set up the rear end.
So im going on the maiden voyage and the Detroit now sounds like a dam lock-rite. The ratcheting is really loud. The locker is working just like it should/used to. It locks and unlocks at the right times. The only thing is this new ratcheting sound.
Is this normal? Will it go away with time?

What gear oil did he fill it up with.

Yeah, needs the friction modifier does it not?

No it doesnt use the friction/ posi attative.
I put 85/90 w in it. Same thing Ive always ran.


Today it finally made that good ol Detroit 'thunk!' and it gotta a lot quiter since, but I can still hear a ratcheting noise.
