anyone know where i can get ceramic pads for the 89 xj?

i think when they say 83-91, they mean the full size cherokee's in that year. i found a set of ceramics for my 87 at Autozone. that's really the only place that i could find them. i had a mishap where one store gave me the pads for the fullsize Cherokee.

Ceramic pads aren't "soft" like semimetallics are - if you get sand on your brakes, the ceramics will ram it into the rotor and this is not good... semimetallics, the sand will get pressed into the pad.

Ceramic pads will wear the the rotors about as fast as the pads, ceramic pads on stock cast iron rotors is not a good idea.

IF you want to replace rotors and pads every 20k miles go for it.
