86 tb injected

I have a TB injected 2.5 that if you hold the throttle at around 2000 RPM it sputters and coughs any ideas?

I'd start with a new fuel filter. If no improvement, check the fuel pressure. There's a hex plug on the top of throttle body that can be removed and an adapter installed so you can use a standard fuel pressure gage. If thats ok, try new distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires. If you know some body with a renix xj, you could swap out the ignition coil and ICU(attached to the bottom of the coil, they're one unit) to eliminate that possibility.
