Until you've dealt with a 1BBL Carter-feedback-carbed 258 in an Eagle Wagon that the PO half-assed removing all the smog gear from... You haven't known hell.

Now let us never discuss that car again.

World's Worst Carburettors (in no particular order) (not all-inclusive):
-The Carter Thermoquad - pain in the arse to overhaul...
-The Ford VV (Variable Venturi) carburettor - pain to overhaul and to tune...
-Late 1970s to mid 1980s Rochester Quad - the smog is a nachtmare, and the vacuum is worse...
-The Honda/Keihin three-barrel as used on the CVCC engines through the early 1980's. Two carburettors, one body. Two barrels running a lean mix, one (rather smaller) barrel running a rich mix as a primer.

Having had to deal with all of those, I honestly can't say which one would be worse. I can say, however, that I would probably rather have my urinary tract extrude honed than have to deal with those things again - especially the Keihin. That made tuning a six-carburettor Jag V12 seem simple to me.

Don't forget the V.V. Carb that Toyota used in the mid-late 80s....

That's why i converted my old CJ to Howell's TBI. That and the stupid egr gas passage between the manifolds.
