Oil Filter Magnets

Anyone using these? Filtermag makes one and its a little expensive.
I personally have used 4, 1 inch round Neodymium super strong rare earth magnets around my filter. I have yet to cut open a filter to see if anything got trapped.

It works BUT the particules would have been caught but the filter anyway.
