so I was doing some more work on the jeep today and found out that I lost a weight on the driveshaft!!!!!!!!!!! This bites!!!!! I just put the damn thing on... also it explains the weird vibe I picked up on the way back from AZ. Oh well, I'll wait till after Calico to get the shaft balanced.

Just position a hose clamp on the shaft where the weight fell off... or maybe two..

Staying under 75 isn't really driving, now is it?

At 80 MPH my junk is as smooth as silk but maybe thats cause it's on the trailer, off the trailer top end is like 12 MPH then hang on.......SANTA

I've still managed to get mine up to 100... no doors, hatch... buggy'd out. yeah it was loud but damn it was fun. It was actually pretty smooth. you know that point where the vibs get there worst then you go faster and they go away!

or like when you buy a jeep with a 5 spd, 4.56's, and some 30x9's and try to drive it from san diego to apple valley....

what's wrong with that? I took an XJ with a 5spd, 4.88's and 31's from OC to Rubicon and back :D I loved that gear ratio on the trail! Didn't use much of low range as it felt that in first it's already capable of climbing a tree :D

Thats right up there with what craig(JXPEEJ) did....he later commuted in it from apple valley to redlands, so he put some 3.73's in it, and we stuck the 4.56's in my brother's with 32's...that worked great too.
