As of right now, the Sierra Chapter Treasury has $1227. This money has been generated through our t-shirt sales, sticker sales, and our Sierra Fest raffle. I would like to thank everyone for their help in raising this money.
So where will this money go? We have been discussing this for a while now. We have come to this decision. We will be sending the Fresno Four Wheelers $200 as a goodwill gesture for their effort to maintain the Shaver Lake area trails, the same area we held this years Sierra Fest. The rest of the money will be donated to The Freinds of Fordyce group. The FOF group is just starting out and needs help raising money to obtain a non-profit status. Once they get this status, they will be able to accept tax deductible donations. As a group we felt that a donation to FOF would be meaningful and a great help in getting this group up and running. These guys are doing a good thing helping to protect the Fordyce trail for all of us to use.
So we also thought that maybe some of our chapter members would like to add to our donation amount. Anyone interested? Please PM me for my paypal account, or my physical address for those who would prefer to donate by check. this will be open for a few weeks, and we hope to have the money collected and donated by early December.

Well it turns out it was $1,611!
http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a399/dlddesign/LameStuff/Bigcheck2.jpg
Just WOW!
Nice job to all that helped, from the start on Phils Rubicon Run where some people paid and extra $5 for run shirts, to Scrappy and Bryan C. selling Shirts and stickers, to Goatman and the Sierra Fest raffle tickets, then to the extra money this last month that people pulled out of there own pockets.
$1,611!
If you helped out in any way at all you should be proud, FOF is working on getting to be a non profit organization, and they need this money to help set that up. Once they become a non profit they can get the big money and be a write off for the companies with the big fat pockets.
Some photos, Bryan gave FOF a Sierra Chapter shit, but I am not sure if he liked it:

Once he got a few beers in him he put the shirt on:

Nice Job Bryan C and the Sierra Chapter, thanks again for all your hard work!
