My a/c pump is going bad, bearings or something, wich doesnt matter to me because it hasent worked sence ive owned the jeep but the whinning from the bearings is getting louder and louder and i want to pull the pump. I cant find anything as far as a kit that gives you an idler to repalce the pump so im wondering if you guys know of anything or have made a setup?

thanks,

Dont non a/c having xjs just have a dummy pully like that? i just took off my condencer and that black cylender thing and i'm looking to either chuck the compressor too or use it for oba.

Do the bearings whine when the A/C isn't on?

I'd just leave it off and unplug the compressor.

mine doesn't work either, but as long as i don't try to turn on the compressor, the bearings dont whine.
