I have a 90 XJ and I can hear a hissing sound coming from the rear of the jeep. Is there any vacuum lines back there that could be leaking?

my guess is that it is your fuel pump buzzing/hissing. I dont think that there are any vac lines in the rear.

yeah It's most likely the fuel pump, mine does it too. If you want to make sure, turn the key to on and in a few seconds it should turn off.
