Going out there this weekend, never been meeting my sis and br in law there, since i might be the only xj anyone else want to go. leaving early sat morning.

Going out there this weekend, never been meeting my sis and br in law there, since i might be the only xj anyone else want to go. leaving early sat morning.
I'll be up in Big Bear this weekend so I won't be around town.
I'd recommend a brew or two at The Iron Door, a run up blowsand, a trip to Truckhaven, find the Squeeze, run on down to Split Mountain and do some exploring out there.

I've done the squeeze before and heartatck hill. been to truck haven a few times but never to ow.

how far off 86s is it ?

I like OW but it is quite a far trip for me, need at least a 3 day weekend to be worth it.

I've run washes that run from blowsand all the way to salton sea, its a fun trip.

Ocotillo Wells runs all the way out Hwy 86, but Blowsand and the park headquarters are about ten or so miles from the 86.
BTW there is another 'Squeeze' out in Ocotillo Wells, it is sometimes called the Slot.
