This sounds very similar to my situation, but I must edit it a bit:

1. Find money (legally!)
2. Time...shhhiiiitttt...I got nuthin but time!

Hoping to make it there, but also looking to get the wife a new vehicle between now and then so it might screw up having a tow rig. We will see what happens.

My list is pretty short;
1. Build long arm front suspension
2. Buy tires (33")
3. Lock the 8.25
4. Build roof rack
5. Finish rear bumper to fill in the cut quarters
6. TJ flares
7. etc., etc.

Ok, maybe it's not so short. I should at least have tires by then!

all four spring plates 1/2 inch plate
shock mounts added to the d44

Rear frame plated at shackle mount.
Rear frame length shortened to 4 inches behind shackles

So here we go:

Seats
gauges
harnesses

rebuild factory front bumper mounts using 3/8 plate
cut out entire floor pan and build custom floor from back wall to the firewall
brake booster and master cylinder for rear discs (got it)
locate hydraulic slave cylinder mounts for sm465 4spd transmission
mount all brake lines
front brake hoses
rear center hose
fuel cell install (got it)
drag link
tie rod
hydro assist
spool rear d60 probably do axle shafts, hate to spool without disired shafts
front locker of some kind.
install advance adapter small block motor mounts (got it)
install Tune Port Injected 350 (got it)
install Transmission and t case (got them)
install the Painless Wiring harness (got it)
find proper manifolds or shorty headers
y pipe and exhaust system with oxygen sensor
build cross member
traction bar
build square driveshafts unless i somehow find money for shafts
build flat bed
rocker replacement with possbily plate or box tube
one or two batteries
radiator hoses
cooling fan(s)
about 22 more lug nuts
shocks all the around
rear limiting straps to avoid breaking leaf springs
wrangler leaves with the proper amount of lift after the powertrain is in (currently stock)

pretty sure there is more but oh well. i've spent about 15 hours a week for the last two weeks and will probably continue to do at least that until its finished. Working again in a fab shop is such a great thing.

Depends on which jeep I will be bringing. The woody needs a few things and so does the black beast.

List for the woody:

MPI swap
new tranny and tranfer case
weld up the 8.8
front tow points installed
t/c skid plate(no more holes in the t/c)
install a radio that works
install 4.5" springs with spacer
install new control arms
install shackles out back

I'm sure there is more. If I bring the 96 the list is not so long.

That's why it was sitting in the shed instead of on the Jeep :D

Here's a link to some of the fancier CO2 regulators, I have the fixed one on my tank:

I popped the heads off the steering box mounting bolts one day in town. I yanked the steering wheel and they could not take the pressure. I had to use a big C-clamp to hold the gearbox against the framerail so I could get it off the street.

Hopefully it's not too serious.

Doesn't matter, it is just supposed to be 2' taller than your rig. I used to zip-tie mine to the radio antenna and nobody ever said anything, so I would imagine as long as you have one you should be fine.

My list is pretty much completed. Trackbar is in, pitman arm is on and e-brake is hooked up.

Now all I have to do it wait.

Wish I could have stuck around longer but, I'm glad you got it all done. Did the belly pan go back on fairly uneventful?

Yep, it fit into place just like it should have the first time :dunce: I didn't even have to re-adjust my t'case linkage. The Heep rode like a dream on the way back home with the new trackbar too.

Must do:
Brew a couple batches of homebrew. Done
Pick up a bottle or two of mezcal. Done
Fix the AC. not looking good

Optional:
Fix the leaking ARB locker. maybe
Armor-all the tires. I really need new tires!

And my heep has developed some serious front end problems including a non-death wobble type wobble that sometimes turns into death wobble, and sticky calipers.

just got back from a trial run with the trailer loaded behind the Tahoe....not gonna happen the way we have it set up with the welder and leads that close to the tongue. Now it is time to call up my buddy at the welding shop and use his truck....wish us luck on making it there in that rig!! I will be there tomorrow sometime come hell or high water, even if I have to drive my rig! It would be a long drive w/ no swaybars and biased TSL's.
