Ok So I was wondering. At what point do you officially lose your noob status. Is it after 6 months , 1 year , 100 posts 500 posts? This is something of extreme importance in the community. Cause we all know noobs have zero value to them until they become regulars. And has anyone ever been given permanent noob status for actions unbecoming of a regular? And yes I have been drinkin but no I am not drunk....yet.

i have only been on here for about 3 months. my guess is it is either when u learn how to search or your name turns red...based on what i've read.

red only changes member status, not noob status.

I'd say...

1) When you are able to answer questions, rather than merely asking them.
2) When you can demonstrate effective use of the search function.
3) When you learn to listen more and talk less (I've got 6K posts just because I've been here for years...)
4) When people stop calling you noobs...

Any or all of the above - prefereably all.

This thread set you waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back.

You need to lay low for awhile, or change your user name.

Good Luck.

Ok I can answer questions although my wheeling knowledge itself is limited my mechanical is not. I can use the search function , but it is much to vague at times. I would prefer an all inclusive XJ section with pure info. Bolt sizes torue specs , everything that you could possibly think of for the XJ. I read tons and rarely post. So I guess I am just waiting on number 4. Which would be cool if Naxja gave you an official message declaring the end to your noob status :)

I suppose - depends on when you're counting from. My membership was on "hiatus" for a few years - I lapsed, and didn't have the readies to re-up for a while.

I'm not sure when I got started here anymore - probably about 1998 or so, at a guess (and probably wrong...)
