I jus got my XJ lifted with a 4.5" lift and I was jus wondering what are the best tires? I got new Pro Comp All Terrain tires and they are sweet but are they some of the best?

For milder trails and DD duty they are a decent tire. You'll find that the more difficult trails require a more aggressive tread.

I have MTR's and they are pretty good all around. For mainly trails I have seen the TSL SX's do very well

I swear by the BFG ATs for all around use. I have em on my Jeep, work trucks, and they are going on my wifes Tahoe in about a month or so. Best all around street/trail tire ever IMO.

I have some WIDETRACK BAJA ATs and they are great on road and on the trail. Plus they are only around $100 per 32X11.50X15. I also like BFGs.

X2. BFG AT Revos
These are great if this is your daily driver, but you still want something that will work great for occasional trail usage.
I would only recommend MT tires if your rig spends OVER 50% of the time on the trail,
OR if your Jeep will be used more than 20% of the time on VERY aggressive trails(big rocks, sticks, porcupines, etc.) :D

If your rig is more of a DD still I would stick with the BFGs AT KOs, I've ran those on my DD/trail rig and ran carnage Moab and a lot of CO trails and out side of deep nasty mud they have never let me down. I run 33x12.5r15s on my 01XJ and 235x75r15s on my same with my 89 toy truck. They never let me down they wear really well I get long mileage out of them as well. Procomp ats are ok not as aggressive as the BFGs and Revos and I always felt they wear down faster softer compounds so they don't last as many miles as they claim to. Revos are Bridgestone Duelers I like those as well on a more DD or light trails.
If your looking at more aggressive and no so great riding compared to an AT go with wrangler MTRs After the next transformation the XJ goes through I’m planning on sporting those next.
