Is there any reason it wouldn't work. They look to have the same female connector. The only difference is that the 96' looks bigger.

I only need it as a spare, I ordered the wrong part and I can not take it back.

I swapped one from a 96 into a 92. Just to check for a bad coil works fine. JIM.
