A guy that I work with is giving away a Dana 44 shell. Should I just take it, or is too much work? I have a 91 XJ. Just got it finished. 3" RC lift 32" Procomps cut fenders. Is it worth it???

with 32's you proabably wont be puttin an extreme load on the axle unless you dont let off the gas ever

XJ/MJ rears are worth a bundle. And if you start with a bare housing you can talk yourself into doing things right the first time (chromo shafts, locker, the right gears, decent cover, etc). The SJ rears are a little harder to work with but make good swaps too (need wheel adapters/spacers).
However, if it was anything else I'd take it and sell it.
