Rear springs and perches

I have a set of RE 4 1/2 rear springs that I am going to put under my 92, but I have been wondering:
I have a D35 and the spring perches are curved and the spring has a large arc as well.
Seems that when I put the axle under the spring and tighten the u bolts it will be able to rotate without proper support as a shim or ???
The book says 52ft/lbs torque, seems not enough??
Thought maybe someone had know..........Thanks,Rick:dunno:

I've always put about 80lbs on mine. They will loosen up as the new suspension settles/breaks in. What do you mean by curved spring perch
