So Jennifer and I had some time to kill on our way to Texas and decided to swing by Tombstone, AZ for a few hours. It was actually really cool and I thought I would share some pictures for those who have never been there.

The Main Street, called Allen St.

If you dont know what this is, you need a history lesson, or at least to watch the movie. You had to pay for everything in this town, including going back behind the fence to see where the gunfight took place, they had shootout shows you could see there too. I didnt pay, I payed for walking through the Birdcage Theater.

All the buildings were pretty much still intact, but they had changed what they sold....too bad no prostitutes. But they did let you know via signs by them what they were back in the day.

Supposedly this is the most haunted place in the USA. I didnt see any ghosts, I think one did goose me though.

This is the same corner where the Sherrif was shot though. There were historical markers pointing those things out.

Inside the Theater, it wasnt big at all. Maybe 60 ft deep by 45 ft wide. It was almost that big behind the curtain. Under the stage there were poker tables, it said the people would wait 3-4 days for a seat at the tables (2 tables) and it was $1000 min. buy in. Most the things in the theater hadnt been moved, like the tables and chairs, and 2 bedrooms below either. They still sit they way they did in 1889.

Bout the middle of town there is a bar called Big Nosed Kates (Doc girlfriend), it is a bar now, think it was then too, but in the basement (called the shaft) the owner of it was digging for silver because the silver mine that brought people to Tombstone was under Tombstone, so he was making his own mine without people knowing, when they found out they buried him in his mine under the bar. They dont know what he did with his silver though.

I have a few more, but I thought it was a cool place to visit. Wasnt able to get to Boothill cemetary because I couldnt park the rig anywhere near it, and I didnt know that til we were heading out of town. Maybe next time.

I went to Boot hill when I was a kid, the headstones were a kick to read.

"Here lies Less Moore
Took two slugs from a .44
No Less no more"

That's the only one I remember. Great pics
