Anyone ever rebuild one? This one will not go into 3rd. I am assuming its the syncros even though they look good on a visual inspection.

Know where I can get the rebuild manual? I have one for the ax-5 but not the 15.

i did the 5spd in my 85 i had but i think that was the ax-5 trans im not sure. but it was easy (to me anyways) took it apart labeled and put the new stuff in.

also did it in my 95 dodge dakota (had the same 5spd with a few upgraded parts)

you will be fine as long as you pay attention.

My chilton manual has a very detailed rebuild section in it on the ax-15,It helped me alot when I tore down a ax-15 I got from a member on here.

If you want to do it right you're going to need a press,dial gauge with stand,micrometer,feeler gauge,and some good snap ring pliers.
