I just got a fullsize rim / tire for my wife's 2000 XJ. How are you keeping a fullsize spare in the original doughnut wheel location?? Just a longer bolt?.

I can't believe a jeep comes with that idiot doughnut wheel.. it is useless...worse than that it is dangerous.

That's how I did it...PITA to find a good one tho...

First thing I did was pull that doughnut outta there.

I don't understand the issue. Mine came with the donut hole spare and I just put a 31 in spare without changing a thing.

I have a 30" in the stock location with the stock hardware. I just have it mounted with the face of the wheel facing the glass

Yeah, make sure to put the outside of the rim facing the window. I've got a 30" in the stock location with the origional L shaped bolt.

I've heard you can fit a 31" if you remove the bottom plate....although I've heard a 31" is too wide to close the hatch. Not sure!
