possible steering box issue

Every so often when turning sharpy i get a popping sound and my steering wheel becomes off center when the tires are straight. After a while it will happen again, and the wheel will correct its self. I have idea as to what is happening. I think the steering box is going. It is a stock box and I'm running 31x10.5's. Any ideas or fix options will be greatly oppriciated.

make sure your trac bar bracket is tight. mine had loud popping noises but never rembember steering wheel change. Worth a try to get rid of noise tho.

Check your trac bar bracket to the frame, the trac bar end at the brachet and the tie rod ends.

Check the clamps on the drag-link sleeve. Maybe the bolts are loose enough to cause it to jump threads when you steer. If not that, then it does sound like your steering box is going out. Have someone help you to pin point the sound to be sure.
