lol, hey you can bring the X or the XJ. It's your choice:laugh3: Are you planning on going? It would be a good maiden voyage for the jeep. Also how did your SYE install go?

My brother and I plan on going. I still have stuff to do on my XJ, otherwise we'll be in his Rubi.
We went in Jun and it was a blast!

I would LOVE to hit Katemcy, but thats a week before my wedding, so I'm thinking it might be ill-advised. On a related note, though, I'm going to do my best to ensure that one of the first RRC official events is at Katemcy. I've yet to look at their pricing structure, but I'm betting we could get enough turn out to get our own closed wheeling weekend, just for NAXJA folks. It's probably the closest thing to Moab most of us will ever see. :)

Hey, you could turn it into your bachelor party, I did that in Barnwell with another club when I got married and it has turned into an annual event called the Bachelor Run, it's become something pretty cool.

I'm sorry Chia, I've got my Wife and my Brother In Law with me this trip (which could change, so I'll let ya know) But if not I think Jim might have an open seat in his TJ. What do you have left to do to it?

I would like to attend this run, but I've never made it to katemcy before.
I have 2 questions:
1- can you have good fun there without lockers or is it too extreme for the likes of my mall crawler?
2- Is katemcy a big body damage pit?
I realize I prob sound like a newbie... but I am, so that answers that.
Oh, and are there any good places to wheel in and around austin?

Check out the Katemcy Website Trail descriptions (http://www.katemcyrocks.com/trails.html) for an idea of whats out there. From what I can tell, quite a few trails would be quite fun with a stocker. However, it's all about rocks out there, so body damage is a definite possibility. Stick to the easy stuff, though, and you should be alright.
As for places to Wheel, check out the sticky up top. You'll need Google Earth (http://earth.google.com/) to view it.

I have no lockers, no sliders, and 31's with 4-4.5 in of lift. The worst Damage I've gotton is a dented gas tank(not bad) and paint scraped off bumpers. If you pay attention, you will come out un scathed, but the danger is there as always.
