Heard the dog bark once and I went upstairs to check on her (where we live...there's really no reason to be barking). Walked into the guest room to find my dog and this doe, nose to nose, sniffing each other through the damn screen. I spooked her and she walked around to the other side of the house and bedded down right under my bedroom window. We popped the screen and watched her a bit. I love living up here.

Yeah...I guess I coulda drag her a$$ in and downstairs and right over to the grill. I've had them get close out here but not this close.

She's pretty thin. Other than her being really close to the house/dog, is she acting weird?
I see a CWD candidate.

I actually thought that too. But, I'm used to seeing nice plump corn fed whitetails. Thought maybe it was just me.

Yeah she was pretty thin (every once in a while a stocky doe or buck rolls through town) but she didn't act any stranger than the others that stop by. Biggest buck I've ever seen walked right by the NAPA store in town as I was coming out this past winter. I'm not a hunter so I can't estimate size or rack real well but it was impressive enough to stop traffic in town. They love the aspen leaves and the flowers right by the house.

It's my main goal to move out to CO. I've only got a few thousand in my mover fund. I'm aiming for 12k before I make the move... 10k should be fine though. You have it good my friend.
