I heard about this place a few months ago, but just noticed the trails right along 360.

One buddy reports riding ATV's there for the last 10 years, and says it's just river bottoms, nobody's ever heard of any trespassing issues...

Unfortunately the 360 trails are private property and you risk the impoundment of your rig for trespassing, and there have been a few. There are lots of people who still go there but the possible expense is to high for me.

I live in south Arlington and keep hearing that it is off limits. I don't go there because of that. Maybe someone should find the owner and see if they would open it up.

That started over 10 years ago. The problem is there are several owners and the cities have presured them to limit crime (lots of drugs, stolen cars...). The best wheeling has been dozed and developed a long time ago.
It was known to be one of the top 100 places to wheel nationwide back in the 90's. If people would have followd the "tread lightly" rules we might still be able to use it.

Ok, thanks for the heads up, JayVT... I guess I'll have to keep myself out of there from now on.

when local people talk about "360 trails" they are 100% for it or 100% against it...i have been going there for over 20 yrs....yes back then it was also prvt land...mid 90s they did a complete crack down on the area because of all the stolen cars there....avg 5-15 a week....the place got really trashed...thats when police patroled it on 4 wheelers and ticketed any 1 and ever 1...since then they have stoped being so hard on the people there if you look legit....i have talked to the police out there many times, they just want the crime to stop there....i have never recieved a ticket but i have heard many have...to this day i still trailer my jeep out there and many others do to....wheeling during the day is only safe time to be there...at night it becomes like a no-mans land and it gets dangerous...trust me on this...

I'm a little hesitant to add this one to the wheeling destinations list because of the uncertain nature. We'll leave it as a "local legend" until someone gets official word that the owners will allow 4x4 activity on the property. I'd hate for NAXJA to encourage illegal activity on the part of its members.

I've thought about packing my UZI subgun, just in case http://www.ar15.com/images/smilies/anim_uzi.gif

This is TX...
everyone has a gun.

If you go after dark...make sure you wear a "vest"...as there are a lot of problems to go on out there after dark.

Even though the police have relaxed some on the 360 trails, they are still ALL illegal to wheel on. I have friends that go all the time and don't get tickets, but you still run the risk of getting your rig impounded. As for NAXJA; this is an illegal wheeling destination and should not be listed under any wheeling destination or endorsement list.

Very cool, thanks for sharing your experience. It's why I asked :)
